Sharing the Light
by Pam Evans
This book takes the reader on a journey through Gower's sacred landscape and explains the influence of the Celtic Saints, the Knights of Saint John, holy wells and springs and Gower's Pre-Christian Sacred Sites. The book also explains how the Celtic Saints were linked to countries beyond Wales.
The story of how the Peace Mala Gower Pilgrimage for World Peace unfolded is also explained along with how the blessed lights of the World Peace Flame, the Light of Saint Brighid and the light from the Shrine of Saint David were collected for the pilgrimage
Illustrations of the Celtic Saints are by pupils from Peace Mala schools in the Swansea area
'Sharing the Light' costs £6.00
All proceeds support the Peace Mala registered charity which works with schools, youth groups and the wider community.

“I warmly commend this book if you seek to enter into the spirit of pilgrimage which it captures so beautifully. There is a wonderful section on the Celtic Church and a sharing of the stories of saints who were so influental in the development of early Christianity in Gower. The book also explores local traditions including Holy Wells and springs and other encounters with ‘older spirituality’ that add to the sacred geography of Gower.”
The Right Revd John D E Davies
Bishop of Swansea and Brecon
“I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your book and have to admit that I have only visited Gower a couple of times. Your book has inspired me to visit the Gower peninsula very soon to explore some of the churches and ancient sites that you write about."
The Very Revd Jonathan Lean
Dean of St Davids Cathedral
“Thank you so much for writing ‘Sharing the Light’. It is wonderful and Gower is one of my favourite places.”
